We are Coffee!

The Coffee County School System is composed of eight elementary schools (pre-K through grade 5), one middle school (grades six through eight), a ninth-grade academy, one comprehensive high school (grades ten through twelve), one separate college and career academy (grades nine through twelve) and one alternative program (grades six through twelve). The school system is governed by a five-member board of education elected for a four-year term on a non-partisan basis. The school superintendent is appointed by the board and serves as the chief executive officer. The system serves approximately 7,600 students in Pre-K through 12th grade.

The Coffee County School System will open for students on Monday, August 9, 2021.  We look forward to another great year!  

We are taking into consideration the information from the Guidance for Georgia K-12 Schools and School-Based Programs document from the Georgia Department of Public Health.  This guidance was used to prepare our school system's Operations Plan, which can be found at the link below.

Special Education records are held by the school system for a period of time. At the end of the required holding period, those records are destroyed. This notice is to inform interested persons of the process.

This FCC program can provide eligible households $50 toward internet service and $100 discount on an eligible connected device. Households in Coffee County with students in our system are eligible to apply because we have a Free Lunch Program.

MCV4 Booster
11th Grade MCV4 (meningococcal) Vaccine Requirement

Effective July 1, 2021, students entering or transferring into the eleventh grade will need proof of a meningococcal conjugate booster (MCV4) shot, unless their first dose was received on or after their sixteenth birthday.

School Nurse Substitutes Needed

Coffee County Schools is currently seeking School Nurse Substitutes to serve various schools as needed.  Individuals will receive a daily rate of pay based on a LPN or RN licensure and previous experience.
